Pregnancy is a special period in the life of the expectant mother during which she experiences significant emotional, psychological and social transformations as well as physical changes. Managing this period in a healthy, conscious and safe manner is of great importance in protecting the well-being of both mother and baby.

Serving within our Medical Center Pregnancy School, The program was created to support expectant mothers to proceed from pregnancy to birth, from birth to puerperium in a prepared, conscious and safe manner.

Our program is carried out by multidisciplinary health professionals in line with the current guidelines of the Ministry of Health on childbirth preparation training programs.

Expectant mothers and their spouses not only gain theoretical knowledge during the training process, but also prepare for birth with practical trainings, gain awareness about the postnatal process and make a strong start to parenthood.

Aim of the Pregnancy School

The main goal of our Pregnancy School program is to enable expectant mothers to experience the pregnancy and birth process consciously, to reduce their anxiety about childbirth and to support them to make a strong start to a healthy motherhood process.

With our program;

  • To provide scientific and up-to-date information on the pregnancy process 
  • Preparing expectant mothers for the prenatal and postnatal period 
  • Raising awareness on safe childbirth 
  • To strengthen the parenting skills of expectant mothers and fathers 
  • Reducing fear and anxiety about childbirth 
  • To raise awareness about breastfeeding and newborn care 
  • It is aimed to develop the right habits to protect mother-baby health.

Pregnancy School trainings are conducted by experienced health professionals with a multidisciplinary approach.

What is Included in the Training Content?

Changes in the body during pregnancy

Hormonal, physiological and anatomical changes that occur in the body of the expectant mother during pregnancy are discussed in detail.

Expectant mothers;

  • Changes that can be experienced according to the trimesters

  • Situations to watch out for

Breathing and Relaxation Techniques

Using the right breathing techniques during labor helps the mother to manage the process in a more controlled and comfortable way.

Newborn Care

Basic applications for postnatal baby care are explained with models.

Breastfeeding Education

Breast milk is the baby's first and most precious food.

A healthy and balanced diet of expectant mothers during pregnancy directly affects the development of the baby.

Exercise and Movement during Pregnancy

  • All expectant mothers from the 12th week of pregnancy

In some special high-risk pregnancies, physician assessment is recommended prior to participation.
